No Excuses

Our cold/cough has dissipated. I'm not working today. No kid activities to shuttle kids to. Really, I have no excuses.
The hardest step is the first one.
Today:
Run 8km
Start writing food intake. Just do it. No progress means it's time for desperate measures! :)

Some like it slow..

Still in the throws of this viral attack. Babies are tired. Kids are owly. Moms are at their breaking point. So what better way to celebrate the sickness than to celebrate with sugar?

POTD

Run today. Slow 2.5 km tromp through the woods with my best buddy and friend. Lungs still recovering despite slow pace.

Winter colds

Another monster cold/flu is snaking its way through our house. The baby got it Saturday. He spent last night screaming. All night. Of course this is my first day back at work. Of course it is. I got the cold today.

No run today. I'm waiting 'til this cough abates. Instead I'm going for a walk. Hope you are all keeping healthy!

Sowing the seeds of love

I had the funnest bike ride today. Great company. She listens to my woes, commiserates and encourages during a 45 minute trail ride. It's nice to have friends.

The afternoon was spent tending to our garden. I am amazed how interested and helpful I and J were. First we got our supply list.

Then we worked the soil.

We started seeding

with everyone taking their turn.

More pics tomorrow of our seed marker.

Up tomorrow: 10 km or bust.

No juice

Biking through the trails with the wind at my back was a wonderful way to start the day.
Came home to a cold and flu season commercial. Babies not napping. Laundry. Ugh real life is just not as pretty.
Slow walk/run in woods with B and A was the best medicine! THanks guys!
Up next: POTD
Gardening with kids
Prosecco with dinner

POTD

Happy Birthday B.
We love you.

Comfort Zone

Act 1 Scene 1: Running with husband, he's a runner, I'm not. His first run in a year. I run daily. 25 minutes into run...

Him: Great pace.
Me: Uh*
Him: What a beautiful day.
Me: Uh*
Him: It's pretty muddy today.
Me: Uh*
Him: What are you up to later today?
Me : Uh*

Uh* is code for "Yes but if I say anymore I will not be able to breathe and run at the same time."

We all need to run and do things out of our comfort zone to get better. Even though I would rather run slowly and be able to talk, I love running with him. He pushes me without knowing and that makes me a better runner.
 Up today:
 another big big birthday

Nothing motivates me like a goal

Here's to starting from square one.
Make a goal. Write it down. Get running. Slow, fast whatever just get moving.

Here's mine...Half marathon in May and hopefully getting fit in the process. Move everyday. Blog about it.
You can do it as well.
What's your goal?
